Your data stays on your phone.

The short version

Szüret has no accounts, no server of its own, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you create in the app — saved spots, notes, photos, favourites and settings — is stored only on your device. We, the developer, never receive any of it.

What the app stores on your device

• Your region, chosen on first launch, used to time the seasons.
• Saved spots: the species, coordinates, date, your note and an optional photo you choose.
• Favourites and settings, such as Field mode and season notifications.
• Offline map tiles for any region you download.

This data lives in the app's private storage. It is not synced or backed up by Szüret. You can export it or delete all of it at any time from More → Privacy hub. Uninstalling the app also removes it.

Permissions

Location (while using the app)

Used only to center the map and show your position while you place a spot marker. It is never recorded in the background, never uploaded and never shared. You can decline and place spots by tapping the map instead.

Photos

Only if you choose to attach a photo to a spot. The picture stays on your device.

Notifications

Optional season reminders for species you've starred. They are scheduled locally on your phone; nothing is sent to any server.

Network requests

To show the map, the app downloads map tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org). Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and the map area being loaded to OpenStreetMap, which handles it under the OSM Foundation privacy policy. No identifier, account or spot data is sent with these requests. Downloaded offline regions need no network at all.

Species content, photos and the seasonal almanac ship inside the app and are not fetched from the internet.

What we don't do

• No analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.
• No selling, sharing or transferring of personal data — we never have it.
• No in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Children

Szüret doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

This website

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. If you send a message through the support form, we store your name, email address and message only to answer you.
